Rich Pepper is an associate in the Environmental and Natural Resources practice. His practice focuses on the representation of corporations and individuals in environmental litigation matters, environmental regulatory compliance matters, and federal and state environmental enforcement actions. Rich’s expertise extends to a wide variety of environmental regulatory schemes including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Water Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and the Clean Air Act and state counterparts. Specifically, Rich has worked with retailers and utilities to comply with hazardous waste regulations, as well as land development interests to understand possible environmental liabilities through transactional due diligence.

During the course of earning his environmental engineering degree and shortly thereafter, Rich completed research on energy efficient wastewater treatment mechanisms. In law school, he briefly worked with the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards of the EPA, focusing on Title V and PSD air regulatory schemes. Rich has also received Engineer-In-Training and Patent Agent certifications.
