Matthew (Matt) T. Anderson is a lawyer in the firm’s Labor and Employment section. His practice focuses on litigating disputes between employers and employees, with a specific focus on litigation relating to employee benefits such as health care, disability, and pensions governed by the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). He also assists and advises clients on policies and procedures to avoid litigation.
Matt received his a B.A. from Washington & Lee University, where he was a four-year letter winner on the varsity swim team and a founding member of the student-athlete advisory council. He received his J.D. from the University of Richmond where he was a member of the Walter Scott McNeill Honor Society and Phi Delta Phi, research assistant to Dean Wendy C. Perdue, a law student advisor, and Editor-In-Chief of the student newspaper, Juris Publici. Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked at a small, general litigation firm in Richmond.
