  • Representation of director of Fortune 100 company in criminal and civil proceedings following its multi-billion dollar collapse. No charges; satisfactory settlements.
  • Representation of national accounting firm in connection with federal grand jury and administrative agency investigation of alleged improper accounting procedures used prior to merger of major corporations.
  • Internal investigation, for a worldwide technical business, of allegation of conspiracy to corrupt public contracting with bribery. Cooperation with federal investigation concluded without assertions or charges against the client. No adverse effect on the company's continuing busi-ness with the public entity.
  • Internal investigation for a large electric utility of issues arising from Enron practices and the California energy crisis. Materials and infor-mation gathered immediately and analyzed; government demands for information satisfied.
  • Internal investigation for a publicly traded communications company resulting in discovery of multi-million dollar kickback scheme conduct-ed by senior manager. Assistance to the company in isolating the risk and maintaining its position as only a witness.
  • Representation of the CEO of the U.S. division of a European company alleged to have engaged in unlawful conduct causing diversion of an international flight. Obtained pre-trial diversion that averted the client's immediate deportation from his U.S. business location.
  • Investigation on behalf of worldwide conglomerate of unauthorized intrusion of racial epithets into its voicemail system. Identified the intruder as a former plant manager who had been convicted of embez-zling funds from the company. Obtained a full admission as part of a settlement.
