WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 27, 2010): The US Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance (US PREF) will conduct its third US PREF DAY on Thursday, February 4, 2010. The day’s agenda is the culmination of the organization’s efforts to educate and explain how current and pending legislation will impact the financial industry and the growth of renewable energy development. US PREF will hold a series of meetings with Capitol Hill, DOE and White House administrators to address the challenges facing renewable energy financing.
Consisting of financial institutions and thought leaders, US PREF was established as an educational resource for those who are shaping renewable energy policy in the Obama Administration, government agencies and Congress. Since its inception, it has been responsible for creating white papers and hosting US PREF days to further explain how loan guarantee programs and other federal initiatives unlock private capital flows to new, large-scale renewable energy projects in the United States.
US PREF Day will be held in conjunction with RETECH (Renewable Energy and Technology Conference), which is hosted by ACORE. RETECH is the leading Renewable Energy event in Washington, D.C., and has become a part of Clean Energy Week.
During RETECH, Kevin C. Fitzgerald, Managing Partner of Troutman Sanders LLP’s Washington, D.C., office, will speak along with other founding members of US PREF. The panel, which will be Friday, February 5, 2010 from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., will discuss the renewable energy finance markets and the key challenges faced by the renewable energy industry both in the United States and internationally.
Troutman Sanders will have a booth #213 on the exhibit floor at RETECH and invites all those attending the show to stop by to learn more about our renewable energy experience.
