An interview with
Ben Noble, vice president of federal affairs for
Troutman Sanders Strategies in Washington, was featured December 2 on
Politico.com.
What got Politico’s attention was Noble’s recent work as a lobbyist for the Catfish Farmers of America. Noble said what’s at issue is food safety because “the fish are still being inspected under the Food and Drug Administration – a process that inspects only 2 percent of all imported fish.” Instead, he and the Catfish Farmers want the USDA to inspect imported catfish, as called for under last year’s farm bill.
