Troutman Sanders Partnership Expands by Four

ATLANTA – Troutman Sanders LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of four attorneys who have been elected partners. The new partners are located in the law firm's offices in Atlanta, Orange County, Richmond and Washington, D.C.

About the new partner in the Atlanta office:
Thomas B. Bosch joined Troutman Sanders in 2006 and is a member of the firm’s Securities Litigation and Complex Litigation practice groups. He also serves on the firm’s Privacy & Data Security team, as well as the firm’s technology committee.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a placement consultant at Counsel On Call, Inc., from 2005 to 2006 and an associate at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP from 1999 to 2005.
Bosch’s practice is focused on corporate and securities litigation, including cases involving allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and a variety of other business torts. He regularly represents companies and management in disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and financing transactions. He also counsels clients on corporate governance and related issues. Bosch has additional experience representing court appointed receivers in enforcement actions filed by the SEC.
Bosch recently co-authored “An Upside to the Downturn: Using Dura and Tellabs to Defeat Stock Drop Claims” in DRI’s June 1, 2009, issue of The Business Suit.
He received a B.A. in 1996 from the University of Virginia and a J.D. in 1999 from Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
About the new partner in the Orange County office:
Ryan C. Tuley joined Troutman Sanders in 2009 when the firm merged with Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP. He is a member of the firm’s D&O and Professional Liability, Complex Litigation, and Insurance & Reinsurance practice teams.
Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, he was an associate from 2007 to 2008 and of counsel from 2008 to 2009 with Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP, and an attorney with Berger Kahn, a Professional Law Corp., from 1998 to 2006.
Tuley’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex insurance coverage, bad faith, and business matters. He also devotes a significant amount of his time to advising clients regarding insurance coverage issues under directors and officers, errors and omissions, professional liability, employment practices liability, and commercial general liability policies.
Additionally, Tuley regularly litigates coverage and other disputes in federal and state courts, and has handled a large variety of matters from the pre-litigation stage through discovery, trial, and appeal.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
Tuley authored D&O and Professional Liability Update 2008: A Year in Review for Troutman Sanders.
He received a B.A. in 1995 from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a J.D., cum laude, in 1998 from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
About the new partner in the Richmond office:
Lynda M. Crouse joined the firm in 1999 as an associate and became of counsel in 2006. She is a member of Troutman Sanders’ Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group.
Crouse assists clients in the design, implementation and administration of all types of employee benefits, including executive compensation benefits, qualified and nonqualified retirement benefits, and health and welfare benefits. She also advises clients on a wide variety of employee benefits and executive compensation issues in mergers, acquisitions and other types of business transactions.
She is a member of the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Virginia state bars.
Crouse earned a B.A., summa cum laude, in 1991 from Florida State University and a J.D. in 1994 from American University Washington College of Law.
About the new partner in the Washington, D.C., office:
Jonathan Cohen joined Troutman Sanders in 2009 when the firm merged with Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP. He is a member of the firm’s D&O and Professional Liability, Insurance & Reinsurance, and Complex Litigation practice groups.
Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, Cohen was an associate with Ross, Dixon & Bell, LLP from 2003 to 2009. Before beginning private practice, Cohen was a law clerk to the Honorable Eric L. Clay, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
He assists clients involved in insurance litigation (including general liability, professional liability, and extra contractual matters), as well as professional liability litigation concerning insurance agents, lawyers and accountants. Cohen has experience in employment and commercial litigation, as well as litigation involving government agencies. He regularly counsels both individuals and small businesses with respect to employment-related agreements and professional services contracts.
Cohen has authored a number of articles, including “Pleading a Sarbanes-Oxley Act Whistleblower Claim: What is Required to Survive?,” which was published in The Labor Lawyer, as well as “Litigation Conduct: Removing the ‘Bad Faith’ Trap,” and “Tools for Challenging Settlements,” both of which were published in the Insurance Coverage Law Bulletin.
Cohen was featured in an August 16, 2007, American Lawyer magazine “’Big Suits’ for Big Win in Asbestos Litigation Case” article, which discussed the outcome of the Congoleum v. ACE American Insurance case.
Outside of law, he is actively involved in the Mount Vernon Square Neighborhood Association, the District of Columbia chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, and several other community organizations.
He received a B.A. in 1999 from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. in 2002 from Yale University.
