Troutman Sanders Garners Top Rankings in Chambers USA
June 11, 2010
ATLANTA – Troutman Sanders and its attorneys have garnered top rankings - including more than a dozen No. 1 rankings - in Chambers and Partners’ 2010 edition of Chambers USA.
Every year, Chambers and Partners conducts thousands of interviews and surveys with lawyers and their clients, as well as analyzes its own database resources, to determine which law firms and individual attorneys rank the highest based on their strengths and reputations within the legal industry.
In addition to law firms and individual lawyers being ranked numerically, nationally or by specific state, further categories exist in which lawyers can be ranked as exceptional individuals, including Senior Statesman and Up and Coming lawyer.
Once again, the firm ranked No. 1 in Energy, Environment and Intellectual Property. Attorneys Ezra Cohen and James Roberts each ranked as a Senior Statesman, and attorney Kevin Greene was designated a Star, the highest ranking offered by Chambers. Attorneys Robert Angle, Margaret Campbell, Dabney Carr, John Dalton, Gary Dixon, Robert Forry, Ira Genberg, Doug Henderson, John Johnson, Claiborne Johnson, Mark Newman and Frank Riggs also ranked No. 1 in several different legal categories (see complete listing below).
Attorneys David Cutter, Kay Deming and Dan Larcamp appeared in Chambers’ rankings for the first time.
The No. 1 ranking in Energy is further evidence of Troutman Sanders’ internationally recognized energy practice, which has served the energy industry for more than 75 years. In 2006 and 2007, the firm captured the highest ranking among U.S. law firms for service to the utility industry, according to a BTI survey of national clients.
In addition to the more than a dozen No. 1 rankings, the firm ranked in 23 other categories, and had an additional 53 lawyers ranked in numerous practice areas. For more detailed information on the Chambers USA rankings, please visit: www.chambersandpartners.com.
