Troutman Sanders' Attorneys Rank in Top Five Percent as North Carolina Super Lawyers

For inclusion and distinction as a “Super Lawyer,” attorneys are selected by their peers based on an extensive balloting, research and blue-ribbon review process.
This year, Law & Politics contacted over 17,000 active North Carolina lawyers and asked them to nominate attorneys whom they have personally observed in litigation, transactional or other legal matters. The voting attorneys were asked not to choose a candidate based on reputation alone, but on certain criteria, such as peer recognition, professional achievement, civic service and pro bono activities.
Patricia Kerner, Gary Parsons and Ashley Story have been listed as North Carolina Super Lawyers since the recognition of this honor in 2006.
Kerner was not only honored by her peers as a Super Lawyer, but also was ranked as one of the top 50 female lawyers in the state (a distinction she also garnered in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009). Kerner’s current practice focuses on complex litigation.
Another distinction for Troutman Sanders is that Parsons was ranked as one of the top 100 lawyers in the state (a distinction he also garnered in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009). He focuses his practice on complex litigation.
