Tania practices in the areas of federal income, estate, and gift taxation, with a special focus on estate planning and administration and tax-exempt organizations.

Tania’s work includes civil tax controversies, preparing protests and formal responses to the Internal Revenue Service.  She is also involved in a variety of matters relating to federal taxation of corporations and not-for-profit organizations, including, but not limited to, the assessment of civil tax penalties, compliance with tax rules, and qualifying charitable contributions. 

Tania also provides trust and estate planning services including the creation of revocable trusts, insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, GRATs, charitable trusts, and maintains a family office for some clients.   She also prepares organizational and transactional documents for closely held businesses, for the purposes of business succession planning.

Tania advises non-profit organizations such as private foundations regarding their responsibility and expenditure requirements for grants to domestic and overseas charitable organizations, and assists them in preparing organizational documents and filings with the Internal Revenue Service, as well as preparing and reviewing contracts and related documents with third parties. 

Tania is committed to the firm's pro bono initiative and regularly participates in "Wills on Wheels", run by Legal Services of Northern Virginia, which provides estate planning to residents of senior assisted living facilities.
