Stephanie’s practice focuses on insurance coverage counseling and litigation on behalf of insurance company clients relating to directors’ and officers liability and other professional liability claims, as well as general liability and bad faith claims. Stephanie has represented insurers in complex coverage litigation across the country, in both federal and state courts. Stephanie also has wide-ranging civil litigation experience.
Previously, Stephanie worked for noted civil rights attorney William L. Taylor on major class action school desegregation litigation as well as education advocacy and policy reform; served as a research analyst for the Citizens’ Commission on Civil Rights; and clerked for the Honorable Robert S. Gawthrop III in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to law school, Stephanie worked for Congressman Sam Gibbons.
Representative Experience
Obtained summary judgment in the Pennsylvania federal district court for an insurer who was accused of bad faith in settling a claim against its insured in order to obtain retrospective premiums from the insured.
