Pete Robinson is Chairman of Troutman Sanders Public Affairs Group LLC, a comprehensive federal, state and local lobbying/issue management firm he founded in 2002 in collaboration with Troutman Sanders LLP. He serves as Chief Executive of the firm. Under his leadership, the firm has grown from a one office lobbying shop into a comprehensive, national issue management firm with offices in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Richmond, and Tampa.
Robinson came to Troutman Sanders from a background in state government relations, but expanded the platform into a full service federal and state operation whose clients include The Coca-Cola Company, General Electric Company, Microsoft Corporation, AFLAC Corporation, Merck and Company, Southern Company, Synovus Financial Corporation, Carmax and many others.
In the past six years, Robinson has also branched into strategic governmental business consulting, including counseling with clients on the establishment and reorganization of in-house operations, including assistance with staffing decisions.
Prior to his lobbying and government relations’ career, Robinson worked as a commercial and insurance litigator.
