Patrick has extensive experience affecting policy in all levels of government having counseled trade associations, small businesses, healthcare entities, municipalities, state agencies, and political candidates on a wide array of issues. Patrick brings a breadth of knowledge on policy areas such as healthcare, education, financial services, judiciary, transportation, and U.S.-Mexico border issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Patrick served as legislative advisor to then U.S. Representative Henry Bonilla, an appropriations subcommittee chairman. In addition to legislative duties, he also served as the Congressman's liaison to communities along the U.S.-Mexico border. In this capacity, he mediated negotiations between localities and the Federal government on issues such as international bridge permits, the restructuring of land ports-of-entry post 9/11 and FAA flight patterns.
Patrick also served the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs under Chairman Phil Gramm, where he was responsible for oversight of financial regulatory agencies.
