Patrick has extensive experience affecting policy in all levels of government. He has counseled trade associations, small businesses, health care entities, municipalities, state agencies, and political candidates on a wide array of issues. He brings a breadth of knowledge on policy areas such as health care, education, financial services, judiciary, homeland security, transportation, and US-Mexico border issues.
Prior to joining Troutman Sanders Public Affairs Group, Mr. Anderson served as legislative advisor to then US Representative Henry Bonilla, an appropriations subcommittee chairman. In addition to legislative duties, Mr. Anderson also served as the Congressman's liaison to communities along the US-Mexico border. In this capacity, he mediated negotiations between localities and the Federal government on issues such as international bridge permits, the restructuring of land ports-of-entry post 9/11, and FAA flight patterns.
Mr. Anderson also served the Senate Banking Committee under Chairman Phil Gramm, where he was responsible for oversight of financial regulatory agencies.
