Partners' work mentioned in American Lawyer

Washington partner Stuart Pierson, New York partner Mitchell Portnoy and Virginia Beach partner Tom Rose were mentioned in the “Canadian Big Deals” column of the June 2011 issue of American Lawyer magazine for their efforts in U.S. giant Newmont Mining Corporation’s $2.3 billion acquisition of Canada’s Fronteer Gold Inc.
Newmont plans to spin off 11 of Fronteer’s projects into a new company called Pilot Gold. Pierson, Portnoy and Rose represented Fronteer Gold in the legal proceedings.
