New York managing partner Aurora Cassirer appointed permanent receiver in SEC fraud case

New York office managing partner Aurora Cassirer garnered multiple press mentions by being appointed by U.S. District Judge Sidney Stein in Manhattan on June 7, 2010, as a temporary receiver for financial adviser Kenneth Ira Starr’s companies, including Starr Investment Advisors LLC, Starr & Co. and Colcave LLC. On July 8, 2010, the court appointed Cassirer as the permanent receiver.
