Negar is an associate in the D&O and Professional Liability practice group. She joined Troutman Sanders in 2010, after spending the summer of 2008 as a summer associate with Ross, Dixon, & Bell, which later merged with Troutman Sanders.

Negar provides insurance companies with pre-litigation counseling and advice concerning complex coverage and claims-handling issues and represents insurance companies in coverage/bad faith litigation for primary and excess directors & officers, employment practices liability, errors & omissions, and miscellaneous professional liability policies.

Negar received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2009, graduating cum laude.  While in law school, Negar was president of the Iranian American Bar Association and served on the Hastings Women’s Law Journal.

Negar received her bachelor degrees in Political Science and Criminology, Law, & Society from the University of California, Irvine in 2005.

Negar has served on the Troutman Sanders’ Diversity Committee and has been involved in the Orange County Diversity Task Force and Iranian American Bar Association since 2010.

Negar is currently handling a pro bono matter for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND).
