Monin Ung's practice focuses primarily on corporate commercial transactions, restructurings, acquisitions, private equity and equity offerings. Negotiated and completed the acquisition of a sizeable food processing plant in China by a US conglomerate.

Advised on the acquisition of a Korean hi-tech company by a company listed on the GEM Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and designing employment/share option packages.

Advised the acquisition by a white knight of a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and assisted in its debt restructuring with banks.

Advised the investor in the equity direct investment of a Shanghai video conferencing technology company.

Advised on the formation of various joint ventures in China, taking into consideration key tax, commercial and employment issues.

Negotiated and successfully completed a long-term technology licensing agreement with one of the Top 5 listed groups in Taiwan.

Represented Merrill Lynch as the sponsor and lead manager in the placing and new issue of Jiangxi Copper Company in its 628,000,000 H Shares on Hong Kong Stock Exchange and secondary listing on London Stock Exchange.

Represented Nomura Securities as the sponsor and lead manager in placing and new issue of 140,000,000 H Shares of Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Company.

Represented VC Capital Limited as the sponsor and underwriter to China Haisheng Juice Holdings Co., Ltd. in its placing and new issue of 305,550,000 shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Represented ABN AMRO Rothschild and Goldbond Securities Limited as joint lead managers to Fufeng Group Limited in its placing and public offer of 400,000,000 shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Represented Goldbond Securities Limited as sponsor and lead manager to Global Sweeteners Holdings Limited in its placing and public offer of 300,000,000 shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Represented BOC International Holdings Limited and China International Holdings Limited as joint sponsors and joint lead managers to CPMC Holdings Limited in its placing and public offer of 200,000,000 shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
