Practice Group Leader
Kevin’s practice focuses on representation of banks, other financial institutions and borrowers in a wide array of credit transactions, including secured and unsecured commercial credit facilities, real estate construction and permanent loans, workouts and other related matters. He also works on matters involving commercial real estate, including representation of developers, sellers, purchasers, investors and others in the acquisition, development, financing and sale of office, industrial, retail and multifamily residential properties, including FHA‑insured financing, and representation of landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and disputes. Additionally, his practice includes telecommunications and other information companies in real estate transactions and other matters, including all phases of cell tower site acquisition, development and operation. He represents private nonprofit organizations in legal, development, financial, business planning and other related matters, including HUD-sponsored financing, as well as general commercial transactions for middle-market companies.
Representative Experience
Represented Bank of America as letter of credit issuer in connection with the development and construction of a build-to-suit office building in various locations, in negotiating a tri-party agreement with The Prudential Insurance Company of America and in making construction and terms loans to a Chicago-based distribution company
Represented BB&T in connection with a secured letter of credit facility to a Maryland –based developer for the issuance of letters of credit for various related entities
Represented Amoco in site acquisition and development for service station/convenience stores
