She has over 18 years of experience as a litigation attorney practicing in the areas of civil litigation in both state and federal courts. Representative Experience
Counsel to Turner Home Entertainment, Inc. in eight-count complaint brought by licensing and merchandising agent in Thailand. Obtained summary judgment in favor of THE.
Counsel to the City of Atlanta in action brought in federal court challenging the city’s Equal Business Opportunity program.
Counsel to The Tinder Box International, Ltd. in lawsuit filed by Franchisee
Counsel to Advanced Telecommunications Corporation in minority shareholder contract action brought in Fulton County Superior Court in which the damage claims exceeded $46 million. Obtained summary judgment in favor of ATC which was affirmed by the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Successfully defended The Georgia Lottery Corporation in litigation brought by Automated Wagering International, a disappointed bidder for the award by the Georgia Lottery Corporation of a major procurement contract for lottery gaming systems.
Counsel to Alan Platner and V.I.P. Sales in breach of employment contract and fraud lawsuit filed against Woodbridge Holdings, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. After two week trial, jury returned verdict of $1,608,958 on complaint. Woodbridge received nothing on its counterclaim.
Counsel to Southern Company Services, Inc., Georgia Power Company and others in action against railway company before the Interstate Commerce Commission. Action challenged increase in the per-car rail rate in excess of that authorized by the Rail Cost Adjustment Factor.
