Kay is a partner with over 30 years of experience as a litigating attorney specializing in the defense of complex product liability actions involving personal injury claims, many of which concern specialized and technical areas of science and medicine. Her practice has required the development of knowledge and fluency in medical, epidemiological, and other scientific disciplines, as well as contacts with numerous reputable experts in these scientific fields.
Kay's experience also includes the management of mass tort claims. These cases have required special admission to practice in various state and federal courts in jurisdictions outside Georgia, including Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Her trial practice involves pharmaceutical litigation, including products liability litigation, and other general products liability cases of varying degrees of complexity and sophistication.

National counsel to largest global pharmaceutical company in defense of several of its products. The representation has included all aspects of that litigation.
Member of National trial team involving litigation against major pharmaceutical company's non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication.
Counsel to major pharmaceutical company in the defense of product liability actions involving its subsidiaries, including acting as regional counsel in the Southeast in cases involving the defense of the company’s intrauterine devices. Representation has also included the defense of claims concerning acetaminophen-containing products, antibiotics, joint prostheses, opioid litigation, as well as cases involving various subsidiaries’ surgical devices.
