June Ann's principal area of practice is antitrust. She has acted as litigation counsel and has provided antitrust counseling and compliance programs for companies representing a broad range of businesses including entertainment, utilities, transportation, communications, healthcare, mining, agriculture, and service and manufacturing. She has served as Antitrust Counsel to trade groups such as the Southeastern Electric Exchange and the Intermodal Committee on Efficiency. On behalf of numerous clients, she has dealt with the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general in connection with merger/acquisition investigations, civil antitrust investigations, and criminal antitrust grand jury investigations. Her litigation experience also includes copyright and trademark infringement, business tort claims such as tortious interference, restrictive covenant and trade secret claims, fraud and defamation, complex business disputes, and white collar crime. She has had significant experience in media and entertainment fields.

Represented a building products manufacturer in a price-fixing class action.
Obtained closure of a Federal Trade Commission investigation of a physician association
Represented an international construction company indicted for bid rigging
Represented a major chemical company in a suit alleging Robinson-Patman Act violations and claims arising from the termination of a licensee
Represented a major utility in a suit against a municipal utility alleging tying and an attempt to monopolize
Represented an arena and a ticketing service in a suit alleging tying
Obtained a jury verdict for a building products manufacturer in a terminated distributor suit
Represented a wrestling association, wrestling promoters and wrestlers in a series of suits alleging group boycotts and monopolization claims
Obtained a directed verdict for a major motion picture company in an antitrust action involving distribution of the motion picture “The Buddy Holly Story”
Represented six major motion picture companies in an antitrust suit involving distribution of motion pictures in Atlanta, Georgia, obtaining dismissal of action prior to trial
Represented clients in cement, manufacturing, and credit finance class actions
Represented companies and individuals in grand jury investigations in various manufacturing and construction industries
Obtained clearance from both the U.S. authorities and the Canadian Competition Bureau in an acquisition involving the two largest auto haulaway carriers
Obtained early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period in a merger of two major providers of a medical service
Intellectual Property:
Represented a t-shirt manufacturer in a trademark infringement action
Obtained summary judgment for a television programming distributor and a television station in suit by book author claiming copyright and trademark infringement, unfair competition, unfair and deceptive trade practices, false advertising, invasion of privacy, misappropriation of right of publicity, and defamation and trade libel
Had claims dismissed and obtained summary judgment on other claims for a rap music producer and others in a suit alleging copyright infringement and various tort claims
Obtained summary judgment, prior to discovery being conducted, for major motion picture company and well known actor in copyright infringement suit by author alleging that motion picture infringed her book
Represented cable programming service in copyright infringement action against a video monitoring service for copying of cable programming

Represented a home healthcare agency in civil and criminal actions for Medicare fraud
Represented a construction company in a False Claims Act suit
Represented a consumer finance company in an action for fraud
Represented a cotton seed oil mill joint venture in a suit alleging breach of contract and various state law tort claims
Represented producer of a television show in a suit alleging defamacast and other torts
Represented producer of a well known motion picture in an action by a talent agent alleging breach of contract and defamation
