Joe is a partner in the Hong Kong office. His practice focuses on debt and equity capital markets and investments, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions and United States law cross-border commercial transactions. He represents issuers, underwriters and funds on debt and equity offerings and investments, financial institutions, sponsors and borrowers on leveraged and project financing transactions, and strategic and trade buyers and sellers on acquisitions and sales of companies.
Joe has lived in Hong Kong for more than 15 years and has been involved in some of Asia’s most significant transactions during that period, including numerous international initial public offerings and debt financings. Joe has regularly been recognized as a leading lawyer by numerous publications, with a particular emphasis on high yield bonds, and in banking and finance, including leveraged and acquisition finance. Asia Pacific Legal 500 recently quoted clients as describing him as "responsive", "extremely experienced", "easy to work with", and "good at finding solutions", and Chambers Asia Pacific quoted a client as commenting that Joe's "genuinely thorough understanding of covenants and packages means that he can work out a compromise on tough deals and maintain good relations all round."
