Jack has significant trial experience including contract litigation, personal injury suits, matters involving decedents’ estates, and interpretation of local taxing statutes. He also practices general business law and has served his clients as lead counsel in sales and acquisitions matters. In addition, Jack has maintained a significant trust and estate planning and administration practice and has served as executor to several significant estates.
Representative Experience
Lead counsel on a $14 million cash purchase of a manufacturing company to the sale of a $5 million dollar manufacturing/distribution center.
Prosecuted many circuit court cases involving the removal of abandoned graveyards. This has entailed expert testimony on their lack of historical significance and the lack of any reservation of rights in those graveyards. His practice has extended to exhumations and disinterments.
Represented a Civil War battlefield preservation group and has extensive experience in the complicated acquisitions of the Brandy Station, Malvern Hill, Glendale, McDowell, and other battlefields, and the placement of conversation/historic easements on abutting lands.
