State and Local Taxation

Under the direction of the immediate past Revenue Commissioner for the State of Georgia, the Governmental Law and Tax Practice Groups together have developed a strong state and local taxation practice. The firm assists its clients with numerous state and local tax matters such as obtaining tax incentives and abatements; claiming refunds and exemptions; appealing tax assessments; and addressing numerous sales tax, alcohol regulatory, and unclaimed property issues.
