Legislative Strategy and Representation

The Governmental Law Practice Group works closely with the firm's separate lobbying entity, Troutman Sanders Public Affairs Group LLC, to maintain strong relationships with state and local officials and provide the best representation possible to its legal clients. The Public Affairs Group is headed by a member of the Governmental Law Practice Group, who previously served as President Pro Tempore and Majority Leader of the Georgia State Senate. Members of the Governmental Law Practice Group assist the Public Affairs Group in developing legislative strategy, drafting legislation and testimony, and generally providing seamless services to clients.
